Melissa Bradley

I'd be honored to serve the public of Marin County on the Marin Healthcare District Board. I see a need for diversity on the board. A board made up of all medical professionals doesn't make sense. We need oversight and attention to detail. I've built my real estate business from the ground up over the last 25 years. You can trust me to be watching out for you, the citizens of Marin County.

Thank you,

Melissa Bradley

Melissa Bradley's Professional Background

I’m the Owner & Founder of Bradley Real Estate. I hold the prestigious (at least in my industry) CRS and CRB designations. I was also awarded the 2008 Women’s Initiative Pacesetter Award, the 2007 North Bay Business Journal’s 40 Executives under 40 Years Old Award ( yes, that was a while ago), the 2013 Most Influential Women in Business Award, and the San Francisco Business Times Top 100 Women Business Owner in the Bay Area 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.

I was the #1 agent in Marin for houses sold 1998-2011. I’ve sold over 500 houses, commercial buildings and leased properties myself. I also have managed thousands of transactions.

I have extensive experience in complicated real estate transactions including seller financing, lease options, short sales, REO’s, multi-units, new construction, land, subdivision sales, divorces, probates, trusts, conservatorships, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, reverse exchanges, and much much more. You can visit my business website to learn more about how great I am…just kidding, please visit my website if you want to learn more about my real estate business.

Why I'm running for office:

I am running for Marin Healthcare District Board because I have made a personal decision to dedicate my life to helping others. I am a survivor of domestic violence, and in my process of separating myself from my abuser over the last few years, I have learned first hand about how many of our governmental systems, including our judicial system, criminal justice, medical, housing and more are not protecting and providing for our citizens. I want to make a difference locally and hopefully eventually nationally, and I do believe I will do that. If elected to office, I will be a cooperative contributor to the board with my commitment to the best interests of the people of Marin County.

Why should I vote for a businesswoman for a healthcare board?

I have over 25 years of experience within my own commercial and residential real estate business. I have been the broker of record for my own company, one of the largest employers in Marin, and one of the top 100 women-owned businesses in the San Francisco Bay area for most of my career.
I have been trusted to oversee the myriad of commercial real estate contracts that were negotiated on behalf of many clients for years until my retirement as CEO after my last child was born, when I became Chairwoman.
I remain the sole 100% shareholder of my business that I started from out of my Marin County home over two decades ago. No other candidate up for this election has anywhere close to the experience that I have in the arena of reviewing documents such as bylaws, leases, vendor, subcontractor agreements and employee, contractor and subcontractor contracts and other related documents.

I have personally reviewed thousands of contracts including complex commercial purchase agreements and leases. I will be an asset to the Marin Healthcare District Board, adding a level of experience that is currently lacking with a board made up of all health professionals, particularly doctors, my competitors for this candidacy are namely surgeons. My role as an elected official for this position would be to ensure the health and wellbeing of the public is the top priority as noted on the Marin Healthcare District board’s website.
